Marina Alekhina is a Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Technology of Inorganic Substances and Electrochemical Processes of the D.I. Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology. Carries out pedagogical work at the department in the disciplines devoted to industrial adsorption processes and adsorbents, in bachelor's and master's degrees.

He is a well-known specialist in the field of research of adsorbents and adsorption phenomena in various nanoporous materials, including zeolites, mineral sorbents, carbon adsorbents, metal-organic frame structures.

The main achievements are related to the development of scientific and technological bases for the synthesis and modification of adsorbents for the air separation process by short–cycle adsorption.

Author of more than 220 scientific papers, including 11 textbooks and 4 patents.
