G.A. Petukhova is a PhD in Chemistry, head of the laboratory of synthesis and research of sorbents, scientific secretary of the section of the Scientific Council of RAS on adsorption. She is a well-known specialist in the field of research of adsorption phenomena, synthesis and investigations of sorbents. She is a supervisor of several scientific projects, including European Union Seventh Framework Programme "Supporting the training and career development of researchers ECONANOSORB". The main achievements are associated with the development of scientific-technological basis for the synthesis of carbon-containing sorbents and studies of various factors affecting the formation of the porous structure of adsorbents during their targeted synthesis. She developed the approaches for predicting the adsorption properties and structural parameters of sorbents based on their synthesis conditions. She is a scientific secretary of annual conferences and symposia on topical issues of adsorption and adsorbents. Author of more than 100 published works.
